What Is Held Within Silk Scarf

A vibrant mix of blues, yellows, greens, purples and violets. A multitude of broken grids with each colour partially hiding another – drawing you into the drama.

What is held within can only be worn for dramatic effect.
If you love purple and violet, this one’s for you.

Do you remember looking through a thick hedgerow in summer, searching for the sky? The original acrylic painting started with the sky, gradually obliterating it with an imaginary hedgerow. A sentinel between fields; a tower block for nesting birds; noisy, audacious and teeming with life.
A painting from the ‘Visible, Invisible, Veiled’ body of work.

Digitally printed onto crepe satin silk and deeply pigmented on both sides – chosen because it is soft, folds beautifully and shimmers in sunlight.

Available in three sizes:

A 90cm x 90cm square (£160) and a 136cm x 136cm square (£180).
The broken grids in the 90cm square are tight and intense whereas those in the 136cm square are larger, looser and the colours more nuanced.

A 68cm x 200cm rectangle (£170).
The broken grids are even more stretched – allowing more sunlight and sky to be seen.
